The GOP's Nader?
If Bob Barr wins the Libertarian nomination, will he "draw non-trivial numbers away from McCain," particularly in the small-l libertarian West? Hmm. (What if he were to pick Ron Paul as his running mate? Just asking!)
In other news, I discovered this blog today: Things Younger Than John McCain. Heh.
On a more serious note, George F. Will has some questions for McCain.

Ron Paul is no man's running mate.

I can't decide which is funnier, the fact that he is older than the ball point pen, or the fact he is older than FM radio, or the fact he is older than Helvetica (sorry, field I work in... McCain is older than the humanist movement... I'm amused by that.)

The libertarians left the GOP a long time ago. The only thing that would draw votes away from McCain is some Bible-thumping wacko.

I agree, Brendan, we should bar Huckabee from the presidential race. ;-)

McCain's true feather's are officially out and he is positing himself as the 2008 Centrist Democrat candidate. Obama taking presumably the Code Pink nom.

"McCain's true feather's are officially out and he is positing himself as the 2008 Centrist Democrat candidate."
That might be a true statement if only you changed the year.

As long as it's not Mike Gravel (seriously, people, we're not a repository for crazy people, we're a political party with a specific political platform!) or that idiot woman who wants to decriminalize kiddie porn.
