About me

I'm Brendan Loy, a 26-year-old graduate of USC and Notre Dame now living and working in Knoxville, Tennessee. My wife Becky and I are brand-new parents of a beautiful baby girl, born on New Year's Eve.

I'm a big-time sports fan, a politics, media & law junkie, an astronomy buff, a weather nerd, an Apple aficionado, a Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter fanatic, and an all-around dork. My blog is best-known for its coverage of Hurricane Katrina, but I blog about anything and everything that interests me.

Sad...just very sad. Dems can't play by the rules.

I have no love for the Dem Party, but the precedent for this case comes from schoolyard baseball. The game is over, and the team that lost by 3 points is arguing about the bad call that robbed them of 1 point.

Give the whiner her 1 point and lets all go get milkshakes, huh?

No more commentary on this one tonight? Everyone watching MMA on CBS?

Heh, John, apparently that one point isn't enough, because now Hillary is considering appealing the decision to give Obama 59 delegates from Michigan.

.
Not 5/7's of a free man?

What did you think of Kimbo Slice tonight, Jay?

Don't worry, the delegates will get a mule and an acre of land after the convention.

The moral of the story is-- make sure your name is on the ballot even though you and everyone else knows the votes won't count, because maybe they will.
