Translating Hillary Clinton
A few days ago, Jay blogged about Phil Bredesen's proposal for a superdelegate superconvention. Today, Hillary Clinton offered her thoughts on the plan: "The governor from Tennessee suggested that there be a convention of superdelegates, and I think that it is an intriguing idea. I have not considered it long enough to have an opinion on it."
Heh. Translation: "I haven't determined yet whether it would help me or hurt me politically. When I figure that out, I'll let you know whether it's an obviously necessary, undeniably fair and just procedure for determining the nominee, or a horribly undemocratic, totally indefensible alteration of the sacrosanct process we already have in place."

A spot-on translation.

You should get her whole quote in there.
"I haven't determined yet whether it would help me or hurt me politically. When I figure that out, I'll let you know whether it's an obviously necessary, undeniably fair and just procedure for determining the nominee, or a horribly undemocratic, totally indefensible alteration of the sacrosanct process we already have in place, which is to determine the popular vote total from all states holding primaries."

I don't see a year anywhere on that. Could be a scan of some previous year's rankings. Where'd you get it?
Official rankings are due out Friday, so we'll know soon.

i hope its true. it means the sky isnt falling on a jd from nd.
is there any explanation for the low peer rep score besides liberal bias in academia? is nds faculty considered bad by peer law school or actually is objectively "bad" in comparison to peer law schools?

I was very torn about whether to post something. On the one hand, if I post it, I risk being criticized for posting "rumors" again. On the other hand, if I don't post it, I risk being criticized for only posting "rumors" when they're "bad news" about NDLS, and suddenly growing a newfound sense of editorial judgment when the rumors are "good"! And the two lines of criticism would come from the same exact people. :)
I decided to go ahead and post something, because frankly, I just don't see the harm. I included all the standard disclaimers. If by chance the leaks are an exceptionally well-coordinated fake, well, fine. The world still really isn't a discretely worse-off place for my having linked to the posts in question.
I gotta be honest, though. If the leaks had shown the NDLS ranking declining, I probably wouldn't have posted anything. I've been burned by this "prematurely posting bad news" line of attack enough times. But since this one is "good news," hopefully nobody is too upset... or at least no more upset than they would have been if I had decided NOT to post it... *sigh*

Not to re-hijack the thread back to the Topic or anythinglikethatbut :) all Hillary is saying Is, that at present the condition of the Macrodelegate Microconvention is a quantum wave function. Accordingly, once again you are trying to pop Hillary's qwiff ;}. What's the matter with you, this isn't how you were Raised. ;>
