When I saw the acronym SLA, I at first doubted my recollection, but this was the group, led by Donald "Cinque" DeFreeze, who kidnapped newspaper heiress Patricia Hearst. That would be 34 or 35 years ago, and I do remember the wide swing public opinion took against Hearst, from poor-little-rich-girl hostage to common criminal, when she was seen on a bank security camera carrying a gun in a robbery. And law enforcement sent in lethal force and slaughtered all the group they could, hoping (it seemed at the time) that they could kill Hearst. (She wasn't there.) Not so much was known about the Stockholm syndrome back then, and not even Hearst's family connections could keep her from doing time. And now one of the people who abused and brainwashed her will be getting out of jail. Wow.

That's a horrible administrative error. Someone's getting fired.

And law enforcement sent in lethal force and slaughtered all the group they could,
Really?
I suppose the fact that the LAPD tried repeatedly to get them to surrender was just a ruse to cover their bloodthirsty desires huh?
And the fact that they used non lethal tear gas, only to be met with automatic weapon fire was a further ruse?
And the fact that even after being met with automatic weapon fire they still continued to ask them to surrender, and in fact allowed people to leave the house unharmed was a mistake?
These were people who had declared war on the US government, committed numerous felonies, took over an occupied house at gun point in the middle of the night, and resisted arrest with automatic gunfire.
But the LAPD were the bad guys out to slaughter them.

And I'm assuming you have facts to back up this ridiculous statement?
It's rather sad how in a lib's world the police are always the evildoers.

The SLA promoted its "revolution" against the government by shooting school superintendents and bank customers. If these assholes had no problem killing innocent people as they left a school board meeting, surely they would have had no problem killing cops. I have no problem with the LAPD killing f-ers who were held up in a house with military grade weapons.
