Plagiarism?

Sincerity you can Xerox:

Heh. (Hat tip: InstaAlthouse.)

UPDATE: But wait, there's more!

(Hat tip: Politico.)

P.S. She even plagiarized Tom Zbikowski! ;)

P.P.S. Is this a petty, childish line of attack, utterly devoid of substance? Yes! Should it be a non-issue? Yes! But it's Hillary's non-issue; she can't back away from it now.

Besides, she's the one who told us to "look at the YouTube." She said "it does raise questions." And she's right!

that has to be intentional. I think this is evidence that this is all some kind of farce to keep us ignorant of the alien overlords who hide behind the clouds. How on earth could she commit such a monumental gaffe after making stink of Obama's plagiarism, and then it be discovered within hours ??@@@!!!!

I just really, really, really don't like her. Nor do I trust her one iota.

Wow. Just wow. That was her big moment, too. What a total fraud!

Please, please God. Let the media cover this! If they are so damn happy to run Clinton's bogus plagiarism charges against Obama, please let the half-wits running the news rooms figure out that this is more important than Natalee Holloway. Just for a day. Just one news cycle. Please, PLEASE!

Just saw an MSNBC segment on this and the reporters were being dismissive, saying that what Hillary said doesn't compare to what Obama said. That is just utter bullshit. The MSM is playing games here or they are completely out of touch with reality (big surprise there).

I really, really, really wish Billary would just go away already.

Why has security been relaxd at Obama's speech? , in Texas no less?

(1) Hillary can influence SS segments and is laying the groundwork for an attack.

(2) Hillary can influence SS segments and intentionally let this story loose so that when the attack comes, it can be blamed on Bush.

(3) Bush and Hillary are in League together in some kind of Reptillian Owl's Club Alex Jones Tom Cruise Cult and are working together.

I would go with 1 or 2.

This whole plagiarism thing is ridiculous. I think everyone's been so dumbed down by a certain someone's speeches for the last seven years, that we've forgotten that a good orator uses quotes, and doesn't just bumble about "the internets."

I was hoping Obama would ask Clinton whether anyone one her campaign team has ever written any of her speeches or prepared remarks.

Condor-

I agree. However, Hillary's original ridiculous charge should never have received any traction in the media. I think it is only fair at this point that the media throw some mud back at Hillary, especially since she was the one who dreamed up this moronic line of attack.

new poll out of texas has obama up big. never heard of this polling company before, so take it with a grain of salt, but its at least evidence of which way the momentum is turning.

I think the Secret Service guy who ordered security relaxed should be fired. Sounds to me like a really bad judgment call. Long lines are better than a deceased candidate.

Quick, someone alert 4-7!!!

Knew there was a BlameBush angle in there somewhere . . .

The regularity with which I hear Obama supporters speculating about the liklihood of his assassination is sick. There is almost a glee when they talk about, as though the thought is exciting... further evidence of the desire among many of his supporters for a messianic-martyr like figure and not a politician.

I, personally, think that it is incredibly reckless and macabre to be tossing this idea around the way people do. There have been no publicized threats to his life nor any recent activities or incidents or proclamations that would doubt his safety and security. There is no reason to think he is any more likely than any other candidate out there to be targeted in a violent way. This kind of speculation speaks much more about the speculator than it does about the country, society, and political system within which he/she lives.

I knew someone would take the bait.

CD, for the record, 4-7 is not an "Obama supporter" (just a Hillary hater), and if you're referring to me, the only reason I raise the issue, ever, is to tweak 4-7, whose conspiratorial belief that Hillary will try to have Obama killed I have repeatedly ridiculed as 9/11 Truth-like nonsense.

I agree with you that there's no reason whatsoever to seriously speculate about an Obama assassination, and to do so in print is uncalled for.

Now, whether the Secret Service is being sufficiently vigilant about security at Obama's rallies is a separate, and legitimate, issue.

CD. 4-7 is not an Obama supporter. He is someone who wants Obama to survive Clinton, because Obama seems like a decent human being. It has nothing to do with fears of a James Earl Ray out there lurking in a hotel parking lot. 4-7 also does not want to be joining his fellow right wingers on the unwarranted receiving end of the fallout. I think these are two good reasons to keep airing the issue in the interest of prevention and damage control.

If Hillary lays down in defeat and retires to the honorable but marginalized historical role of the Senator, then 4-7 is buying everyone drinks and admitting he was blessedly wrong.

Has anyone seen me foil hat ?

See, I agree that 9/11-Inside job stuff is nonsense, unsubstantiated, and wrongful, but that is precisely because I do not see George Bush as a Machiavellian schemer who would have thousands of innocent Americans killed. There is also nothing in his history of political hit-jobs.

The Clinton's are a completely different story. They ARE quite Machiavellian. They DO have a rumored history of political hit jobs, whether rumors of having FBI files on their enemies, intimidating opponents, and even achem Vince Foster. So I don't think, given my points above, that I am as bad as the 9/11 Inside Job crowd.

Now if someone tried to hurt Obama in November before, or especially after, a victory against McCain, then I might believe the extremist-did-it line. And be just as horrified and angry.

I should clarify that my comment was driven by an issue that I have encountered over and over again in my actual life... not on the internet. The comments in this thread only prompted me to comment on the issue. In fact, just this morning two people in my office brought this issue up again. Mine was a general comment on a general pattern that I have seen way more often than I am comfortable with.

As to security, when I went to the Clinton rally there was no bag checking, no metal detectors, people bringing lots of signs and bags in. Police presence was very minimal. At the Obama rally there were metal detectors... no bags, no signs, etc. There were police everywhere, ringing the building, surrounding the stage as though you were at a frickin' Led Zeppelin concert. Additionally, they literally locked the building down after it was full (as in they tried to refuse us the right to leave the building). Therefore, in my experience, the protection afforded Obama was, if anything, way too vigilant! Now, some of that had to do with the larger crowd, and largely to do with the nature of his core supporters, a nature I have lamented too many time to count so won't waste my breath. The kind of people who pound on glass demanding entry into a completely full arena, chanting that this is a 'democracy' and therefore the authorities can not keep them out. Lord.

Point one, the plagiarism thing is kind of silly, especially since Obama used the line with permission.

Point two, if you are going to bring up something like plagiarism, you better be ready to be smacked supper hard if you get caught doing it -- or at minimum doing what you clam your opponent was doing that you said was bad... Hypocrites must be banded about the kidneys with pool cues.

Brendan - try a simple thought experiment ...

1) A Clinton/Obama ticket - does *anyone* even remotely think that Clinton is at risk of being offed by Obama ? Answer: It's just flat-out implausible ...

2) An Obama/Clinton ticket - a bunch of people, including regular commenters, not only take the risk to Obama seriously, we even *joke* about it, since Clinton has the reputation for just such ruthlessness ...

I know that I have not tossed anything around carlessly because I have heard these rumblings from old black people that were at the march on washington. so, there experiences in dealing with this country is far greater than mine since I am only 35yrs old. and I have heard people say that they feel there is a neo-natzi skin head or something nut job that will not be able to stomach the thought that the great ole US of A is being lead by some nigger fromm Chicago.

at the same time I could not but get a weird feeling in my stomach after watching JFK last saturday and here we have the Dallas PD being told by the secret service to stand down. wasnt that one of the things that Donald Sutherland alluded to in the movie?

for me, myself. I am worried but not to the point of some other black people who actually do not want to vote for Obama because they feel like that would lead to his being killed. I find that dumb and it would be a cop out to do something like that.

but I will put down my copy of "coupe detat in America" just to weird after this afternoon.

Forget JFK. Rent The Manchurian Candidate.
