About me

I'm Brendan Loy, a 26-year-old graduate of USC and Notre Dame now living and working in Knoxville, Tennessee. My wife Becky and I are brand-new parents of a beautiful baby girl, born on New Year's Eve.

I'm a big-time sports fan, a politics, media & law junkie, an astronomy buff, a weather nerd, an Apple aficionado, a Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter fanatic, and an all-around dork. My blog is best-known for its coverage of Hurricane Katrina, but I blog about anything and everything that interests me.

That's one beautiful baby! Congratulations and Happy New Year, Becky, Brendan, and Loyette! :)

Amen

Merry New Year!!!

How exciting! It's actually not usual to have a baby on its due date...or is it? Oh what do I know! Loyette...give you folks hell now, k, 'cause it'll be entertaining reading for the rest of us.

(Hearty laugh).

CONGRATS!

Happy New Year 2008! Congratulations B&B! Happy Birthday Loyette!

Happy New Year from Down Under!

Congratulations on the birth of Loyette - she is absolutely gorgeous :)

May 2008 be even better to all of us than 2007!

Congratulations on the new arrival.

All through the pregnancy, the infant stages, toddler, etc you'll hear people say 'that was the easy part, it gets tougher now.' They keep saying that until sometime after graduate school.

Have fun with the next 25 or so 'easy parts'.

congratulations!

Congratulations, Loy family! What a wonderful way to start the new year.

Congratulations to you and your wife.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Unfortunately, as a new years baby myself, I know you have your hands full. ;)

Congrats from the folks at Jessica's Well!

When I saw the comment at Instapundit, I was pretty sure what it meant. Glad I was right. Congratulations.

Congratulations and happy New Year! Your years are going to be full of adventure now!

Congratulations! My wife and I just welcomed our third a couple of weeks ago. Your life will not be the same, I can promise you that. And it's (mostly) for the better! ;)

I have to agree with FzxGkJssFrk - As much as I kid when I post here, being a father is a blast - Mostly good stuff even if they do get on my nerves sometimes (I'm one who likes quiet - hahahaha)

Congratulation!

Best wishes,
Laura

congratulations to you all. you will find the days and years will just slip by so fast. enjoy these wonderful times.

Congratulations! My daughter was born on Dec 31 as well! It makes for a festive New Years Eve. The next day I watched ND beat West Virgina for its last national championship. Almost got kicked out of the materity ward for screaming too loudly whilr watching the game with the new family - I guess the nurses just couldn't appreciate the joy of it all!

Congratulations!

Happy New Year little Loyette! And Brendan and Becky too.

Congratulations - and may you and yours enjoy a Happy, Healthy, and Prosperous New Year !
