Merry Christmas!
I have R2D2 and 3CPO on my tree....

I have an outhouse on my tree, and when you open the little door, you see a dog sitting upright, reading the paper.
"And to all a good dump."

I have St. Nicholas & St. Patrick on my tree. When you flip the "Blarney On" switch Paddy talks Nickie into lending him the sleigh & reindeer for to fly the
Britssnakes out of Ireland :}.Merry Christmas to all & God bless us Every One.

Where did you get that Enterprise-D ornament? Do they make a Borg Cube?
Posted by: kcatnd | Dec 25, 2007 3:01:08 AM
Does the disc part of the Enterprise separate in case you want to simulate a Christmas warp core breach/antimatter containment loss?

Merry Christmas to the Loys and all blog readers!
PS My mom and dad say "Merry Christmas" and mom says "Becky, I hope you have a quick and safe delivery!" She's praying for you.
Much love!

kcatnd, Hallmark has for years put out various Star Trek themed ornaments, you can check out ebay for previous ones (like Brendans) but they might be pretty pricey since they are also collectors items

Cool, thanks for the info, David.

Yup. Here you go:

It looks like mine is the 1993 ornament. I also used to have the 1995 ornament (the Romulan Warbird), but I'm not sure what happened to it... probably still at my parents' house.

And yes, they have a Borg Cube. Sweeeeet.
Posted by: Brendan Loy | Dec 25, 2007 5:51:26 PM
Cause nothing says Christmas like a hive-minded cyborg race bent on total assimilation of all living things...
Apparently the collectors market for these ornaments never took off as the prices on e-bay are pretty reasonable too.

I have the Borg Cube - it's awesome. It has an audio feature that activates every time you turn the lights on:
" We are the Borg. Enjoy your holiday. Resistance is futile."
Posted by: Tbone | Dec 25, 2007 9:41:40 PM
No way! That's awesome!
I wasn't sure whether to believe you, but then I googled the quote and found this.
I must have one...
Posted by: Brendan Loy | Dec 25, 2007 10:21:08 PM
After listening to it again I realized that "holiday" is actually the plural "holidays".
My parents have been giving these to me as gifts every year since they came out. Mrs. Tbone can't stand them, so they have been banished to an exclusive Star Trek ornament tree I have set up in our basement. (And yes, I understand fully the dorkdom status that accompanies such an act.)
They are quite a sight. Several of the others have voice features as well but the Borg Cube and Shuttlecraft Galileo are my favorites. The Galileo:
"Shuttlecraft to Enterprise, Shuttlecraft to Enterprise. Spock here. Happy Holidays. Live Long and Prosper."

Dude... the Irish Trojan blog community NEEDS a photo of this Star Trek tree. :)
The revised phrase brings up a lot more Google hits.

I REMEMBER THAT ORNAMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's weird how the littlest things can trigger lots of memories.
Merry Christmas!!! Thank you so much for the clever card and adorable photo.

Brendan & other Trekkies,
There is a store in Warsaw, IN that sells past ornaments at the original price. It is called The Pary Store. Check it out!
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! Have a safe and happy New Year! Best wishes to Becky and you, Brendan, for a safe delivery and healthy baby girl!

Awesome. For now, I'll just have to put an empty ornament hanger on my tree and tell people that it's a star ship - cloaked.

And I'll add that my favorite audio on a Star Trek ornament is (forgive me for not being able to identify the vehicle by name) the one where Warf's Klingon voice says "Have a most honorable holiday."
Posted by: NDLS2006 | Dec 27, 2007 10:48:42 PM
It's Worf. ... I have the Enterprise D, the original Enterprise and the shuttlecraft Gaileo. But alas, the tree is getting crowded, the lights don't match the ornaments anymore so it's one a year that that's OK. Have to make room for the kids ornaments
