Beat the Tigers!

What with all the football madness on Saturday, extending into Sunday as the BCS rankings and pairings were announced, I totally forgot about the big USC-Kansas basketball game yesterday. Well, the Trojans lost, but it was a close game -- a 59-55 thriller won by the #4-ranked Jayhawks thanks to Mario Chalmers's late heroics.

Up next: a battle between my Trojans and Jay's Tigers. That's right, USC is at #2-ranked Memphis tomorrow night at 9:00 on ESPN. Fight on! Better yet, the game is preceded by Notre Dame-Kansas State at 7:00 PM, also on ESPN. It's an Irish Trojan doubleheader!

Go Tigers Go!

They should bring their Anaheim Classic trophy with them to the next game. The other team will be laughing so hard we could easily run up 20 points on them before they gain their composure.

Go TIGERS!!! :)

You missed a great game yesterday. I saw reflections of last year's tournament loss to North Carolina in the way the Trojans went completely silent for a good chunk of the second half, but they fought their way back to two points down. Then Chalmers hit that ridiculous four-pointer to put the nail in the coffin. Overall, the Big 12 did well in Los Angeles (Texas ripped fUTLA's balls out last night at Pauley Pavilion).
