That's a sad way to end his college career. Man, he seemed like a good guy too. I wish him all the best.

Very unfortunate. It would seem that he'd be one of the front runners for the Heisman this year had he not been injured (and had Oregon gone on to win this past Thursday's game). It would seem that hopefully a pro team will still pick him up and hopefully he'll have success in the NFL.

Dixon probably won't attempt the NFL. While he has been compared to Vince Young this year by the MSM hype machine, he doesn't have the arm and is much smaller. Dixon is far more likely to play some minor league baseball and then go to the real world.
At least that's what the people "in the know" have told me.

What an unfortunate injury. Congrats Tim Tebow, enjoy your Heisman. Dixon and Tebow were the two best candidates and now, with the season ending early and the Ducks fading from national consciousness, and Tebow putting up more ridiculous numbers, it's a one-man race.
Dixon is probably a better fit in baseball. Someone might take a late-round flyer on him in the NFL draft, but he's no Vince Young.
Ducks fans are crushed right now--the team survived losing their top 2 WRs, a very good 2nd-string RB, and two starting LBs...then both Dixon & Jonathan Stewart went down in this game. There's no question that Oregon had complete control of the game until Dixon's knee blew out. I think they could have been a deserving championship game team.
