About me

I'm Brendan Loy, a 26-year-old graduate of USC and Notre Dame now living and working in Knoxville, Tennessee. My wife Becky and I are brand-new parents of a beautiful baby girl, born on New Year's Eve.

I'm a big-time sports fan, a politics, media & law junkie, an astronomy buff, a weather nerd, an Apple aficionado, a Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter fanatic, and an all-around dork. My blog is best-known for its coverage of Hurricane Katrina, but I blog about anything and everything that interests me.

Charlie Weis' retarded daughter could be calling a better offensive game than him. How shocking.

Does our defense look as bad in person as it sounds on the radio? Because I'm pretty sure I can smell the stink from here. Then again, that could've been one of my dogs. Just checkin'.

"Charlie Weis' retarded daughter could be calling a better offensive game than him."

I choked on my vomit and died after reading this comment.

Yes, Charlie Weis's retarded daughter could do a better job at play calling.

Okay, so the O-line gives Clausen no time to wait for deep routes to develop. Weis knew this last week. Weis's solution? The flat to the running back. Over and over again. The flat.

Ever hear of a reverse? A flea flicker? A bootleg?

Jesus. Clausen is a dick, but he also appears to be a capable QB. Weis needs to give the guy a chance to succeed.

And what is up with ND's wide receivers? That one time in the red zone he hit three receivers - two dead center in the hands - and they drop the damn ball!

Maybe they were so used to not being on the receiving end of passes they were too shocked to catch them.
