About me

I'm Brendan Loy, a 26-year-old graduate of USC and Notre Dame now living and working in Knoxville, Tennessee. My wife Becky and I are brand-new parents of a beautiful baby girl, born on New Year's Eve.

I'm a big-time sports fan, a politics, media & law junkie, an astronomy buff, a weather nerd, an Apple aficionado, a Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter fanatic, and an all-around dork. My blog is best-known for its coverage of Hurricane Katrina, but I blog about anything and everything that interests me.

WTF? A former USC player, who hasn't taken a snap in decades, already expelled from the Trojan Family for crimes against humanity, succumbs again to his inner thug, and SC is going to lose to ugla? What orifice did that one come from counselor?

Or maybe the horror of Chucky Weis and the coming Neutered Dame season is getting to you.

FightON!!!

the bastard tried to write a book and release it just before the USC UCLA game last year and we lost. Clearly he has the ability to continue to curse us... He seems to be an unremovable scourge... A spot that will not wash out...

perhaps if we de-retired his number?

but then some unlucky bastard might end up wearing that number. That's something I wouldn't wish on a fellow Trojan.

I may be wrong on this, but didn't he attend a USC game or practice at some point in the last 3/4 years?? I remember when there was that brouhaha about Bush not being allowed on the sideline last year, I read an article that mentioned OJ was on the sideline for a game/practice, so how could they keep out Bush. Not sure if that is accurate or not, just what I read.

I was thinking de-retire it in terms of taking it out of the retired numbers section &c. but not actually giving it to someone else... I agree, that would be mean.
